Tony Frye is happy to be offering music lessons for guitar, piano, bass, trumpet and trombone at Triple Threat this fall. Lessons are held once a week for a half hour and can be taken by any age and any musical level. For the beginning student, lessons will be built around learning the basics of music theory as well as developing the techniques necessary for your instrument. Books and handouts use familiar songs that you will be playing in no time at all! For the advanced student, lessons will center on further development of technique and creating a personal style. Musical styles that are covered in the lessons can be rock, blues, jazz, country, folk, latin, and classical. With a lesson style built around each individual student’s ability and needs, Tony is a great choice for any student wishing to try their hand at a musical instrument.  Min Kahng received his BA from UC Berkeley's School of Music and has trained in diverse backgrounds ranging from Classical to Gospel. He has provided vocal direction for local productions of Beauty and the Beast (TVRep), Urinetown (TVRep) and Little Shop of Horrors (SRCT). Min's on-stage credits include Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie (TV Rep) and John Utterson in Jekyll & Hyde (DVC). He has written and performed his own songs at cafes, churches & musical venues throughout the Bay Area. Min's aim is to enable singers of all levels (from new to seasoned) to build the correct foundation for singing no matter what style or genre of music. Combining professionalism, discipline and friendliness, Min can encourage and challenge you to reach the next level with your voice.

 Lisa May has been teaching voice to all ages for over ten years and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). She has experience teaching a variety of styles from musical theater to classical to sacred with an emphasis on healthy vocal technique, musicianship and love of singing.
Lisa is music director and resident soprano soloist at Saint Thomas Church in San Francisco and is on the music staff of the Gilbert & Sullivan Summer Camp at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. As a performer, Lisa has sung with numerous theater and opera companies throughout the Bay Area, including San Francisco Opera Chorus, Lamplighters Music Theatre, Lyric Theatre of San Jose, Livermore Opera, Douglas Morrison Theatre, 42nd Street Moon, and Opera San Jose. Oratorio and concert performances include Handel's Messiah, Bach's Magnificat, and Mozart's Requiem.
Lisa holds a master’s degree in voice and opera from Northwestern University.

TTPA Kid's Choir
Do you like to sing for fun? Interested in learning more about singing and your voice? Looking to get more experience in vocal performance and technique? TTPA's Kid's Choir is the perfect place to do all of this! This season we will learn the fundamentals of singing, a bit of music theory, basic warmups, and - of course - fun songs which will be performed during TTPA's Breakfast with Santa!
12 week session Sep 14th - 12/ 7 Sundays 6:30-8:00pm Ages: 7-13yr

Music Together
We are very pleased to be hosting a new music program. Music Together is a popular and highly acclaimed Early Childhood Music Enrichment program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their parents/caregivers. Classes at LAPA are on Wednesdays at 9:30, 10:30, 12:30 and 1:30, and on Thursdays and Fridays at 9:30 and 10:30. You can register for classes at www.musictogether.net.
